Following last year’s exhibition commemorating 100 years since the close of WW1, the details of those on the village War Memorial who died in WW2 will be displayed in the Parish Church over the weekend of 9th/10th November. This will include some stories from local people of their experiences from 1939 onwards. Do pop in and take a look. We will again be using some of the resources which were made for last year’s exhibition.

Once again everyone made our two churches look wonderful for Harvest Festival at St. Lawrence and the special refreshments after the service were a real treat.  Our Harvest collection for the Isle of Wight Foodbank was gratefully received and weighed in at a massive 97lbs/44kg. Many thanks to all who contributed.

PEACE GARDEN MAINTENANCE TUESDAY 5th November : 10am-noon Maintenance session in the Peace Garden in Seven Sisters Road (next to the Old Church graveyard) with a gathering once a month on the first Tuesday. The weeds continue to grow, so any assistance at these sessions would be greatly valued. Information? Call David Garton on 853338.
